Banking Expert Marwan Kheireddine

Marwan Kheireddine is a seasoned financier and banker, better known as the director of AI Mawarid Bank, where he has served since 1992. He was born in 1968. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from Richmond University in the UK and a Masters from Columbia Business School in New York in 1993. After University, Marwan started his career as a lecturer at the American University of Beirut as a finance teacher. Later, the school elected him to join the Middle East Advisory Board.

In 1994 Marwan got an opportunity to serve on the Board of the Beirut Stock Exchange, where he advised the chairman on financial matters for three years. The former Lebanese minister of state, Marwan Kheireddine, gave the Lebanese government a lot of financial advice, significantly contributing to the country’s economic growth. His banking experience helped him make valuable contributions that could help the country as a whole. During his reign as a state minister, the private sector was well empowered, and also the country made investments in areas such as technology which could contribute a great deal.

His dedication to improving the financial sector of companies was also seen in his role in starting the BDL Intermediate circular 331, a regulation that actively supported the financing of entrepreneurs. He also established many small and medium businesses in various industries in Lebanon and other countries in his quest to support the private sector.

Marwan is also known for his eye on art, especially Lebanese art. He believes that the art from Lebanon hugely impacts the world. He invests much in it, hoping the right people will notice it and give the art the value it deserves. Marwan finds fulfillment in making people’s lives better.
